When you register and use Revvo Marketplace, we collect the following:

Account Information — your full name, email address, phone number, and password when you register an account.

Identity Verification — for sellers, we collect a copy of your national ID or business registration document as part of our KYC verification process.

Transaction Information — details of orders you place or receive, including parts purchased, amounts paid, and payment method used.

Location Information — your general location or shop address if you register as a seller, used to help buyers find sellers near them.

Device and Usage Information — basic information about how you access and use the platform, including your device type, browser, and IP address. This helps us improve the platform and troubleshoot issues.

Communications — messages exchanged through the platform between buyers and sellers, and support communications sent to us via WhatsApp or support ticket.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

operate your account and process your transactions; verify seller identity and maintain platform trust and safety; send you order confirmations, payment notifications, and dispute updates via WhatsApp and email; respond to your support enquiries; improve the platform based on how it is used; comply with applicable laws and regulations in Lesotho.

4. WhatsApp Communications

Revvo Marketplace uses WhatsApp to send you order notifications, payment confirmations, dispute updates, and support responses. By registering on the platform with a phone number, you consent to receiving these messages. You may opt out of non-essential WhatsApp messages at any time by contacting us, but transactional messages related to active orders cannot be disabled as they are essential to the service.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Between buyers and sellers — when an order is placed, the seller receives the buyer's name and contact details necessary to arrange collection or delivery, and vice versa. This is limited to what is needed to fulfil the order.

Payment processors — your transaction details are shared with M-Pesa and EcoCash solely for the purpose of processing payments.

Legal requirements — we may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from authorities in Lesotho.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include encrypted connections (SSL), secure password storage, and restricted access to personal data within our team. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 5 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data where legally permissible, and opt out of non-essential communications. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes via the platform and WhatsApp. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
